Hello, my name is Devon G. T. Hocker.  I am a professional artist and I live and work in the San Francisco Bay Area. 

I was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky and graduated with a B.A. degree in Fine Arts from the Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky.  In 1985 I heard California calling me, so I moved to the Bay Area to continue studies and expand my craft.  After moving to California I began painting seriously, since then I've produced a large body of work. 

My art style is of today’s art, known as modern contemporary abstract.  Over the years I have painted in  various medium, which has lead to the creation of my own unique painting style using acrylic paints applied by airbrushing and a paint brush.  My unique style of painting deals with lines, squares, circles and other shapes that come together to form objective and non-objective contemporary abstract expressions that reflect the heart and soul of the artist.

Beginning in Spring of 2007, I am selling my artwork on eBay and the internet as a self representing artist with the assistance of Cool e-Solutions.  I am immensely excited about selling my artwork directly to art lovers and collectors through eBay.
 
Painting is an expression of ones thoughts, fears, and joys in life along with all the beauty that is or could be in all of us.  I love art and I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember, I believe that Art is a gift of the spirit, and it is the best way for an artist to share his soul with as many people as possible.
